Like the rest of you, we’re eager to get our hands on the game on November 11, 2022, to see what happens from there. Whatever the case, it certainly seems like Constellation will play a major role in Starfield and that our own adventure in the game will in some way revolve around our decision to join them. More importantly, Howard tells us that there are “many factions in the game” and that Constellation is the “main one.” His choice of wording would seem to suggest that Starfield‘s faction system may be less like the one in Fallout: New Vegas (where you would sometimes be forced to choose between the interests of factions that often battled each other) and more like Skyrim‘s where there is a “campaign” faction and several optional factions to join along the way. The latter explanation feels more likely at the moment, but again, the word “last” feels very telling when trying to understand what Constellation is and what its purpose tells us about the larger Starfield universe. While the game will obviously answer that question eventually, or best guess for the moment is that there was either some event that prevented more humans from being able to continue to explore space (despite apparently being able to do so) or that Constellation is the last group of people willing to explore areas of space considered to be uncharted, dangerous, and inhospitable. Why is that the case? Humanity seemingly has the ability to explore the furthest reaches of space, so why wouldn’t more groups be doing just that? Not only does Howard reveal that Constellation is a group of explorers, but he uses the word “last” in two separate descriptions of the faction. The trailer also reveals that Starfield is coming out on 11 November 2022 the same release day and month that Skyrim had back in 2011. It’s kind of like Skyrim in terms of the structure of the game, where you’re going to be who you want to be, and then there’s different factions that you can join, and really carve your own path.” As we’re just minutes away from the Xbox E3 show, the Washington Post have leaked the Starfield trailer that will no doubt be revealed during the show. There are a lot of factions in the game but that’s the main one that you’ll become a part of. “It’s like NASA meets Indiana Jones meets the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a group of people that are still searching for answers. Starfield debuted at E3 2021 today, giving us a glimpse at what this bold new world looks like. And Constellation is this kind of last group of space explorers,” Howard says. People must be really into Starfield, at least according to the YouTube view count.Currently, Starfields Official Teaser Trailer is sitting at 9.2 million views on Bethesdas YouTube account (the Xbox trailer is just over 4.6 million views). That said, a helpful Reddit post has been keeping track and it confirmed the trailer achieved 7. (That mystery, of course, is whether we're alone in the universe.“Well, the game is set about 300 plus years in our own future. "More than that, Starfield is about hope, our shared humanity and searching for the answers to life's greatest mystery." "It's a next-generation role-playing game where you'll be who you want, go where you want, experience our stories and forge your own," Howard said. The game will follow Constellation, a group of space explorers, of which you'll play one. In a separate making-of video also leaked by The Washington Post, Bethesda's Todd Howard says Starfield is a game the team has been dreaming of making for 20 years. "That's why we've come here, to discover what's out there." Based in this trailer, we would say the hype for Starfield is greater than justified. We noticed quite a lot of gameplay mechanics, together with planetary exploration, capturing battle, customization or even somewhat of area battle. "We've come to the beginning of humanity's final journey," a voiceover mysteriously states. The first Starfield gameplay trailer dropped all through the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase. We see an astronaut who is part of something named Constellation, sat in a ship on a dusty planet with a quiet-looking base and a large robot for company. This in-game footage is listed as from an alpha build of the game, and it doesn't give much away.
